pH Monitoring
Reflux studies are done if we suspect that gastroesophageal reflux is causing you symptoms of heartburn. There are several different pH monitoring test available, and we’ll let you know which type of monitoring best fits your needs.
In general, pH tests monitor the reflux into the lower portion of your esophagus for 1 or several days. The data is recorded by a transmitter and receiver, and we later download this data to a computer. Our computer program analyzes the patterns of reflux you’ve experienced, which helps us recommend the best treatment plan for you.
